Vice President of Continuous Improvement
DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive and develop a lean manufacturing culture, and ensure the realization of continuous improvement strategies, resulting in significant productivity gains across the organization
- Work with the Regional and Site leadership teams to support the development of their CI roadmaps, linked to our strategic development plans
- Responsible for identifying and leveraging best practices across our BU’s, to enable standardization and optimization of our processes
- Support the culture change towards continuous improvement by training, developing, and coaching
- Promote and lead the lean and problem-solving philosophy, by driving improvements to our processes throughout the organization
- Lead and facilitate kaizen events, delivering breakthrough and sustainable using other tools including SMED, Standard Work and Value Stream Mapping
- Mentor teams and leadership during early stages of lean implementation to ensure forward momentum is maintained
- Emphasize the set up and use of visual management to drive everyday problem solving and to ensure attainment of financial commitments
- Develop and deliver training material, coaching, and mentoring related to Lean & Six Sigma principles, and data-driven decision-making
- Proactively lead and contribute to cost reduction and improvement initiatives
- Support the development of new products and manufacturing processes

- Emphasize and set up use of visual management on the shop floor to drive everyday problem solving and to ensure attainment of financial commitments
- Lead the Global Continuous Improvement team through both direct and indirect reporting relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 8+ years Manufacturing experience, automotive electronics preferred
- 10+ years of experience working in a lean manufacturing environment and or business system such as the Toyota Prodction System
- 7 years if technical and operational continuous improvement leadership (leader of leaders)
- Lead / Facilitated multiple kaizen events, delivering breakthrough and sustainable results
- Six Sigma Black Belt required
- Lean tools such as Value Stream Maooing, PDCA, SMED, Kanban, 5S and Visual Management, and Poke Yoke
- Proven ability to lead others in use of Six Sigma problem-solving methodology and rigor, while maintaining a focus on improving business productivity and results
- Requires demonstrated success in process improvement for reduction in waste, reduction in cost and/or improvement in process control
- Strong leadership skills in a matrixed environment
- Requires high energy and a willingness to make process improvements based on data and investigation
