The Vice President, Digital Manufacturing is responsible for execution of the company-wide strategy for Laboratory business that will expand the company’s removable prosthetic operations. The VP, Digital Manufacturing provides leadership and direction for laboratory new business development, innovative solutions, and operational execution. The Vice President, Manufacturing is responsible and accountable to help the organization achieve Laboratory financial targets and profit & loss. The Vice President leads the Central Manufacturing team to deliver quality finished products to the field offices. The Vice President is hyper-focused on expansion of our Laboratory portfolio and supporting practice owners and their clinical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct leadership to manufacturing personnel at central manufacturing location.
  • Responsible for the outgoing quality, safety and efficacy of all finished products.
  • Develops and proposes strategies to support the manufacturing operating system.
  • Ensures budgets, schedules, and performance requirements are met.
  • Improves product quality and cost and reduces customer complaints through a proactive program. Utilizes collected data from customers to enhance product quality.
  • Interview, hire, coach, motivate, develop, recognize, and manage performance of direct reports. Provides regular feedback to all direct reports. Sets performance objectives, support development plans and monitor progress.
  • Work closely with 3rd party manufacturing/design firms to meet our requirements.
  • Partner with CTO to identify the technical specs for IT product development.
  • Develop project plans and budgets to bring the product to market.
  • Help drive decision-making related to manufacturing, such as determining what aspects are best suited for central manufacturing or for manufacturing inside the dental practices.
  • Guide teams in trouble-shooting problems that are identified in Beta and translating this knowledge into the future product.
  • Support the network of Digital Designers who design and fabricate digital dentures leveraging CAD software and 3D printing technology.
  • Understands and follows prescribed digital denture production process to ensure quality of finished product.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Management, or equivalent. Advanced Degree Preferred
  • Experience with Digital aided fabrication of dental restorations including 3D printing and/ or milling technology
  • Highly experienced in continuous improvement methodologies based in a Lean Manufacturing, high-volume environment. LEAN, Six Sixma, and ISO experience desirable
  • Understanding of 3D printers and other related software and equipment
  • Laboratory / clinical experience desirable
  • Advanced working knowledge of CAD/CAM dental design applications and technology
  • Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively work cross-functional and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Experience Leading and executing large-scale initiatives
