Vice President of Technology
Our client is currently recruiting for a VP – Technology (Supply Chain) located in their Support Center (Global Headquarters) located in Irving, TX.
What will you be doing?
In this role you will be responsible for leading a team of highly skilled technology professionals in the development, integration, implementation and maintenance of all Supply Chain and Logistics systems across the organization that build and maintain exciting experiences for our customers differentiating them in the Supply Chain Technology space.

How will you do it?
Strategy and Vision
- Acts as a trusted advisor, building and maintaining relationships with business partners to develop a clear understanding of overall business and technology strategy and maximizing achievement of business goals
- Demonstrate experience in product innovation, current development methodologies and design patterns, delivering applications in a cloud platform
- Lead the development and control of annual software system projects ensuring timeframes and budgets are met, and managing risk
- Develop and execute systems strategies to support business goals
Project Oversight
- Provide input, with ability to dive deep into technical details as required
- Have a high level of comfort with analytical approaches and quantitative methods
- Ensure scalability and performance metrics are achieved
- Manage quality assurance system testing to ensure a quality product is delivered to the end users for user acceptance testing
- Provide architectural and design input, with ability to dive deep into technical details as required
Team Leadership
- Hire and lead highly skilled technology teams responsible for delivering growth related initiatives
- Be responsible for the growth of the team including individuals' career growth, skill set d development, and hiring the right resources
- Develop and implement strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce
- Work with HR Partner to develop the talent strategy and people development
- Provide leadership and coaching to team to drive innovation and to identify opportunities in building the business
Minimum Education
Master/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
Minimum Special Certifications or Technical Skills
- Experience with large scale web traffic and data structures, Algorithms, Linear Algebra.
- Knowledge of major programming languages, i.e. Java, Python, C, C++, MongoDB, MySQL, etc.
- Experience in building search systems such as Elastic, SORL, Lucene, Algolia and large-scale data pipelines
- Experience with cloud services, such as AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure.
Experience in machine learning/computer vision/natural language processing applications
Minimum Type of Experience the Job Requires
- 10 or more years experience driving technologically enabled growth, both consumer facing and internal operational excellence
- 4+ years leading engineering teams with growing responsibility
Other
- Solid technical knowledge and experience in the use and application of the most current technologies and products used in the industry
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Computer Science fundamentals experience in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms
- Demonstrated ability to attract, develop, and retain high quality Technology talent
- Ability to navigate a rapidly changing landscape, while handling multiple responsibilities
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
- Significant experience as a successful tech leader building, managing and mentoring teams in large scale, highly available Internet applications
