Position: Director of Sales

Job Description:
The Director of Sales plans & directs the commercial selling organization in the US for both the Trijicon and AmeriGlo sales organizations. The position ensures the sales goals of the corporation are supported with appropriate strategies and budget requirements. The Director of Sales is expected to keep the sales team actively engaged in the business of taking care of customers and growing product sales while ensuring the home office has the proper visibility to activities and potential sales. The Director of Sales is also responsible for all aspects of the Customer Service organization, directing the overall customer experience. The position requires a leader that demonstrates expertise in a variety of selling concepts, practices & procedures as well as all aspects of customer service and the customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements strategic sales plans to facilitate corporate goals.
- Responsible for providing an annual Sales Plan and providing quarterly updates, revisions, and modifications to the Plan.
- Leads, develops, & inspires the selling organizations. Takes an active interest in improving the professionalism of the organization.
- Develops & deploys go to market strategies that drive growth, while adhering to strong pricing & discounting rules.
- Develops sales forecasts and sets performance goals with Regional Sales Managers and outside sales reps.
- Develops & deploys metrics & budgets for the selling organization. Shares the performance of the organization against those metrics to the VP of Sales & Marketing.
- Manages investments in customers with a ROI mentality, looking for opportunities to help Trijicon grow with the right partners, while restricting programs that cost money, but have no impact.
- Prepares reports and data to support recommendations for potential sales, and proposed client base expansion.
- Communicates a detailed forecast, based on available data & initiatives, to the internal business on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
- Supports the new product development and launch process by providing market feedback, product forecasts, & launching new products.
- Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, recommends pricing and discount rates to Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
- Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition. Communicates important points to the business.
- Assigns sales territories to Regional Sales Managers.
- Responsive to the customers’ & sales team’s needs, driven to ensure that requests, both written and verbal are completed.
- Provides training and performance feedback to internal and external sales staff to drive the achievement of sales goals.
- Recommends & deploys sales strategies for growth based on market research and competitor analyses.
- Advises dealers, distributors and clients concerning sales, advertising, and promotions.
- Implements approved distribution strategies.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
- Meets with key clients, assists sales staff with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals. presents Company at trade shows to promote and sell products.
- Supervise and oversee all aspects of the customer service organization including staffing needs and the customer service process flow.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree, MBA a plus
- Advanced Certificate in Sales Management a plus
- 10+ years of experience in sales management
- 4+ years of direct management of Regional Sales Managers with direct reports

- Ability to travel up to 50%, or as required during trade season.
