Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions
We are looking for a Vice President Corporate Development professional to build out our portfolio inorganically. As a spin-off of Company, we will continue our focus on leveraging M&A as a key driver of shareholder value creation via further acquisitions, divestitures, equity investments, and JV’s. This position will be Company’s most senior M&A executive with full responsibility across all transactional deal aspects.
Responsibilities
- Identify, cultivate, perform diligence, value, structure and negotiate deals across Company
- Act as “deal quarterback” simultaneously advising and driving deal teams of subject matter experts from Corporate and operating companies to complete required work and reach investment recommendations
- Monitor competitive landscape to identify and prioritize opportunities, including tracking public companies and interacting with investment bankers and other sources of deal opportunities
- Manage cross-functional due diligence teams with a hands-on, team-oriented approach
- Present diligence findings and deal recommendations to the Company leadership team and Board of Directors
- Ensure effective management of post-closing deal terms and hand-off to integration teams

Required Skills & Experience:
- 7-10 years’ M&A transaction experience at top-tier corporation, PE firm, law firm or investment bank, having led multiple deals all the way from start to and across the finish line
- Bachelor’s degree is required; top tier MBA or JD strongly preferred
- Cross-functional experience in accounting/finance, legal, operations, tax of M&A strongly preferred
- MedTech, Healthcare and/or international transaction experience, and venture investment background considered a plus

- Prioritize effectively in real time, multi-task on several projects and have strong organization skills
- Have solid understanding of legal deal terms and alternative approaches to risk allocation
- Participate in spirited give-and-take discussions about his/her work and have a thick skin
- Be willing and able to travel as required, including on short notice
